BHL clubs in the EHF European Cup tournament


Dragunas Klaipeda and HC Tallinn were the first of the BHL clubs in the EHF European Cup competition.

Dragunas met Dinamo Pancevo (SRB) in the first round. Lithuanian club lost at home 24:30. The away match in Serbia ended in a draw 28:28.

Dinamo Pancevo – Dragunas Klaipeda 28:28 (14:13)
Dragunas – Draksas 8, Smantauskas 7, Lapiniauskas 4, Simonavičius 3.

HC Tallinn played both matches in the Czech Republic against Sokol Nove Veseli. In the first match Tallinn lost 27:38, in the second lost 23:39.

HC Tallinn – Sokol Nove Veseli 23:39 (13:19)
HC Tallinn – Kutt 7, Gumyanov, Harju and Barylau – 3.

Four other BHL clubs will start the European Cup from the second round. The draw led the Estonian teams Viljandi HC and Polva Serviti to meet each other. VHC Šviesa will play against Red Boys Differdange (LUX), Granitas Kaunas will play against Besiktas Istanbul (TUR), ZRHK TENAX Dobele will meet with Talent Plzen (CZE). The second round will take place on 29 October and 5 November.
